"Gecko drove the getaway car in a video game store heist, Terence gang banged with Chicago's worst, and Arjay took a life. Each of these hoodlums got caught -- and now they're all doing time in juvenile detention centers. Then a man named Douglas Healy visits each of them, offering to pull them out of "jail" immediately. A former juvenile delinquent himself, Healy wants to turn the boys' lives around at his alternative halfway house in New York City. With mixed reactions, Gecko, Terence, and Arjay accept the offer. But then Healy recieves a devasatating head injury while attempting to break up a fight between the boys. So to avoid getting sent back to lock-up, they scheme to stay on as though Healy were still there -- which means they really will have to act like model citizens." -- container
